Southampton: Freehold office sold

Another freehold sale in The Avenue Southampton

Pullen Associates have sold a freehold office building in the Avenue Southampton- the third in a short period of time.   The property at 15/16 The Avnue had been vacated and was in need of refurbishment.   The 3,038 sqft detached building was sold by Pullen Associates acting on behalf of a national trade union, to the mental health charity, Solent Mind who have relocated their Southampton headquarters a few doors along the road.    Richard Pullen, Director of Pullen Associates, reports that there was a reasonably large number of interested purchasers considering the purchase for potentially to convert the building into residential use.  The property  had the benefit of a secure car park at the rear and being located in a very prominent position fronting onto the A33, it was therefore also of interest to various office occupiers."   

The sale is the third office building in the Avenue to have been sold recently by Pullen Associates.   The sale of no 15/16  was soon after the sale of the smaller building at No 35, which had also been sold to a local charity, with No 9 The Avenue having previously been sold for conversion into residential.
