Winchester- England Rugby captain to open a new coffee/wine bar
Pullen Associates has added the England rugby captain to the list of high profile people opening in business in Winchester and with whom they have done business.
Acting on behalf of a private investor, Pullen Associates have let a double shop unit to England rugby captain, Chris Robshaw, who has teamed up with former Hampshire cricketer, Kevin Latouf along with sleeping partner Nic Drysdale, to open a coffee and wine bar at 28 Jewry Street. To be known as Black White Red, the new premises will fill a gap in the market for a high-end coffee shop and wine bar which will employ 15 people.
Richard Pullen, Director of letting agents, Pullen Associates, says that the new concept is excellent news for the city. The property is located opposite the Discovery Centre, library and Theatre Royal in Jewry Street. The property was developed speculatively and the new business, will provide a very modern design concept for Winchester. Black White Red joins Brasserrie Blanc and Loch Fyne restuarants in this part of Jewry Street where Wagammama are also due to open shortly.
This letting marks another landmark transaction agreed by Richard Pullen, who has recently attracted Hugh Fearnley-Whitingstall and his River Cottage restuarant to Winchester, with the letting of Abbey Mill on behalf of Winchester City Council, which is undergoing a substanital redevelopment and also the letting agreed by Richard Pullen to Carnival PLC who have just opened their New Dance Academy in Southampton which has recently opened close to their UK headquarters at Harbour Parade.
