Southampton - Letting to Carnival UK - The Academy Dance Studio

Pullen Associates has let a former warehouse building at Unit F, West Quay Road, Southampton, to Carnival Plc for their new Dance Academy.

The Academy, the south coast's largest dance studio and training centre, was officially opened by Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers, Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe.  Richard Pullen, Director of Pullen Associates, says that " the 16,600 sqft (1,540 sqm) warehouse building has been let to Carnival UK who have created a new bespoke rehearsal and training venue to be used by P & O Cruises and Cunard Line.   This is excellent news for Southampton as thousands of dancers, singers and entertainers will now come to Southampton to rehearse shows to be performed on board the ships of P & O Cruises and Cunard.  The property is ideally located close to Carnival's UK headquarters at Harbour Parade and also backs on to the various cruise terminals of the city.   The Academy has three fully floating sprung dance studios and three vocal coaching rooms."

The property had been used for a variety of dock-related warehouse uses for many years.   Richard Pullen says "the letting by a private investment company, will bring a vacant warehouse back into use attracting many entertainers from around the country to Southampton."
